Dana McMahan

My name is Dana McMahan and I have been a professional dog trainer for over 15 years.  I handled in my very first dog show at just 10 years old and spent most weekends of my childhood participating in various dog events. I worked my first job in a kennel at 14 years old and have since worked as a manager in two facilities. About 10 years ago I opened my own successful dog training company in North Orange County where I specialized in fears/aggression cases. In addition to working with pet dog clients, I currently own 4 dogs who compete in multiple dog sports at a Regional and National level.

Achievements and affiliations:

• Competitor in AKC Obedience, French Ring, Mondioring, Schutzhund/IPO, Rally and Dock Diving

• Titled over 15 dogs to various levels in Competitive Dog Sport

• Professional dog trainer for 15+ years

• Handled and trained over 75 different dog breeds 

• Taught group and private training lessons over the last 10 years in Orange County

• Featured writer for multiple dog sport magazines and newsletters

• Member of United States Rottweiler Club (Executive Board Member), American Working Malinois Association (Past Executive Board Member), DVG America. Past member of US Mondioring Association, North American Ring Association and United Schutzhund Clubs of America.

In 2018 I was blessed to buy the OC Dog Ranch from a good friend of mine and have tried to continue her vision for the ranch.
